The last stop on our Pompeii/Salerno trip was to a buffalo mozzarella farm at Tenuta Vannulo, where they told us they have the “happiest buffalo” in the world. While there, we watched them make the mozzarella, and visited the stalls where the buffalo get regular massages (not kidding) and listen to Mozart to de-stress. After the tour we had a fantastic lunch of olive bread, ricotta and spinach crepes, tomatoes, wine, yogurt, and of course mozzarella that we had probably watched them make only half an hour earlier!
