Florence may be my favorite Italian city so far (no offense Rome!). It’s got it all - the history, the atmosphere, the food, the shopping… not to mention you don’t have to be worried about getting run over by a motorino around every corner! Highlight of the trip: After climbing the Duomo, visiting the Uffizi Gallery and the David, we hiked up a nearby hill to some steps overlooking the entire city. We brought some wine, cheese, bread, & blankets, and made it just in time to watch the sun set over the city and the Ponte Vecchio light up at twilight.
