After Pompeii, we arrived in Salerno - just in time for a group dinner at Spunzillo and an evening stroll. Little did we know that we would find the streets illuminated with thousands of beautiful Christmas lights and handmade floral displays! The theme this season was “Stelle e Pianeti” (or “Stars and Planets”), and it truly was as if someone had reached up, grabbed the night sky, and set it down among the streets of Salerno. Without question one of my favorite nights of the trip so far.
